Sofía Vergara is welcoming summer in signature style — with confidence, glamor, and a glowing tan to match.
The 52-year-old actress and entrepreneur stunned her millions of followers on social media this week with a sultry poolside selfie. Wearing only a pair of black bikini bottoms, Vergara basked in the sun, proudly showing off her bronzed skin and relaxed vibes.
“Ya casi llega el verano! protégete con @toty,” the Modern Family star captioned the snap, which translates to, “Summer is almost here! Protect yourself with @toty,” referring to her skincare line. On her Instagram Stories, she added another sunny snap, reminding fans, “Protección todo el verano,” or “Protection all summer.”
Launched in 2023, Vergara’s skincare brand Toty — named after her childhood nickname — reflects her deep-rooted passion for beauty and self-care. Speaking to People magazine, she revealed her vision: “I want to create a brand that has it all — lips, body makeup with sun protection, something that won’t stain your clothes, and that you can use every day. The dream is big, but we’re starting step by step.”
For Vergara, beauty is both a personal and cultural experience.
“Being Latin, you grow up always putting effort into looking good — your hair, your makeup — and it just makes you feel better,” she explained. “Now that I’m older, I know what works for me. I don’t follow trends — I wear what makes me feel confident and beautiful.”
Though she hasn’t yet gone under the knife, the Griselda star is refreshingly candid about aging and future cosmetic enhancements. “I’m open to plastic surgery — when the time is right,” she told Allure. “I just haven’t had the downtime. If I weren’t on camera, I probably would’ve done something already.”
Still, Vergara isn’t shy about other beauty treatments. She’s been using Botox on her neck and around her eyes for years, but draws a line at fillers — at least for now.
“I think fillers are great when you’re young and want fuller lips or cheeks. But at my age, they don’t make you look younger — they can actually weigh your face down,” she said.
Instead, she credits one product as her true skin savior: sunscreen. After reading about sun damage, Vergara became “religious” about applying SPF daily.
“If you’re tanning your face, there’s nothing magical you can put on at night that’s going to save your skin,” she said. “There’s so much out there today to help with aging — if that’s something you care about. And if not, that’s perfectly fine too. But if you do, why not take advantage?”
With summer on the horizon, Sofía Vergara continues to shine — offering fans not only beauty inspiration but a refreshingly honest take on self-care at any age.
