Gemma Atkinson is an English actress, radio presenter, and former glamour model best known for her roles in British television dramas and her appearances on reality shows.
Born on November 16, 1984, in Bury, Greater Manchester, she first rose to fame as Lisa Hunter in the popular soap opera Hollyoaks (2001–2005). Her portrayal of Lisa, a character who faced intense storylines including bullying and domestic abuse, showcased her acting talent and made her a fan favorite.
She later reprised the role in spin-offs such as Hollyoaks: Let Loose and Hollyoaks: In the City.
Following her success on Hollyoaks, Atkinson expanded her career into other television dramas and reality TV.
She appeared in the medical drama Casualty and the BBC series Waterloo Road, proving her versatility as an actress. However, she gained further public attention when she participated in reality and competition shows like I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2007 and Strictly Come Dancing in 2017.
