The Hidden Risks of Smoking Weed in Your 30s

Posted on May 18, 2025 By admin No Comments on The Hidden Risks of Smoking Weed in Your 30s

As marijuana becomes more widely accepted, research suggests that adults aged 30 and above might want to reconsider their usage. A study from The University of Queensland revealed that continuing to smoke weed into your 30s could impact success in various areas, including education, income, home ownership, relationships, and happiness. However,

these effects were only observed in those who continued use past 30, suggesting that occasional use in youth might not have the same consequences. It’s important to note the study’s limitations. The data comes from a localized Australian population,

and success markers like home ownership or relationship status are subjective and influenced by cultural factors. Additionally, the study didn’t account for other drug use, which could have influenced the results. The key takeaway is moderation. If marijuana use is affecting your motivation, work performance,

finances, or relationships, it might be time to reconsider or cut back. Remember, experimenting with marijuana in youth doesn’t necessarily ruin your future, but ongoing use in adulthood might have unintended consequences.
