Best known as the loving mom on Lassie (1958–1964) and the fearless Dr. Maureen Robinson on Lost in Space (1965–1968), June Lockhart’s career spans over nine decades. Beyond these iconic roles, she made memorable appearances on shows like Bewitched, Magnum, P.I., Step by Step, and General Hospital, and acted in films like Holiday in Handcuffs (2006) and The Remake (2016).
Lockhart earned a Tony Award in 1948 for For Love or Money and has long supported NASA, receiving their Exceptional Public Achievement Medal in 2013. Born into a family of actors, she debuted in A Christmas Carol (1938) alongside her parents.
She had two daughters—June Elizabeth and actress Anne Lockhart—from her first marriage to John F. Maloney.

Reflecting in 2015, Lockhart said, “I feel like I’m 55. I consider myself extremely fortunate to still be employed and active.” Her energy and grace continue to inspire generations.
