But amid the [ch.aos], one story has gripped the nation: the miraculous rescue of a 10-year-old girl, swept 32 kilometers downriver — and saved by a heroic K9 dog and a local police search team in the nick of time.

Then came Shadow, a black German Shepherd with six years of search-and-rescue service.
