At 17, Kai Trump, granddaughter of Donald Trump, is making headlines for both her talent in golf and her close relationship with her grandfather. Born in 2007 to Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, Kai grew up in New York and spent much of her childhood around family, including her grandfather and uncle Barron.
While she mostly stayed out of the public eye, Kai gained attention in 2024 after delivering a heartfelt speech at the Republican National Convention, calling Trump a “normal grandpa” who sneaks her candy and cheers on her school success. The speech came shortly after an assassination attempt on Trump, making the moment even more emotional.
Kai shares a love of golf with her grandfather and recently won the ladies’ club championship at Trump’s West Palm Beach course. She’ll join the University of Miami’s women’s golf team and is focused on building her own identity—on and off the green.
