Feeling a surge of determination, I decided that a more creative approach was necessary. Inspiration struck as I noticed the empty paper cup on my tray table. I picked it up, stood, and addressed the passengers with a raised voice, “Ladies and gentlemen, I believe we have a minor situation that requires a collective effort.”
The cabin grew quiet, eyes turning towards me with curiosity.
“Our friend here seems to enjoy her foot’s presence in the aisle, and I think it’s time for a little game.” I continued, holding up the cup. “Let’s see how many times we can toss this cup back and forth without disturbing our neighbor’s foot.”
A few passengers chuckled, catching onto my plan. The child who had complained about the smell giggled, and his mother gave an encouraging nod.
