World leaders have gathered in New York City for the annual United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meeting. On Wednesday, Donald Trump delivered his speech to the assembly, which lasted one hour and reportedly became the longest speech any president has given at the UN.
While the discussions are serious, for example, about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the war in the Middle East, laughs were heard through the General Assembly as Donald Trump began speaking. It didn’t take long before he paused, as his teleprompter stopped working.
“I don’t mind making this speech without a teleprompter, because the teleprompter is not working,” Donald Trump said, adding that he was still happy to be in the General Assembly hall, per Al Jazeera.
Donald then, jokingly, made a 2-word threat to the person responsible for the teleprompters, saying, “I can only say that whoever is operating this teleprompter is in big trouble.”
