Allen, who won the fourth season of So You Think You Can Dance, was taken to the hospital after he was hit, where he tragically died at age 36.
“One of the last things he said was to keep God first at all times. You have to be real with yourself before you can be real with anybody else,” the family source told TMZ.
Joshua Allen rose to fame after winning the fourth season of the popular dance television contest in 2008 at age 18.
He continued dancing for many years and starred in several films, including Step Up 3D in 2010 and Footloose the following year. Moreover, he appeared in a 2011 episode of American Horror Story.
