DOUGHERTY COUNTY, Ga. — A routine emergency transport turned into chaos Saturday morning when a Dougherty County EMS ambulance was struck in a multi-vehicle collision, injuring eight people — including a newborn.
Crash at a Busy Intersection
The accident occurred just after 7 a.m. at Pine Avenue and Monroe Street, a normally busy crossing that became a scene of flashing lights, smoke, and overturned vehicles. The ambulance rolled from the impact as additional emergency crews rushed to assist. Witnesses described the sight as shocking and surreal.
