Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Trump said he would visit Walter Reed for what he called a “semiannual physical.”

The visit Friday came about six months after his last physical exam, also at Walter Reed.

In a statement on Wednesday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump would visit Walter Reed, just outside Washington, D.C., in Bethesda, Maryland, “for a planned meeting and remarks with the troops” and while there he would “stop by for his routine yearly checkup.”
