In the days that followed, we noticed a marked change in our neighbors’ behavior. No longer did we find them in our yard uninvited, and they even made efforts to be more cordial and respectful. It seems that the lesson had indeed been learned. Our jacuzzi could return to being the quiet retreat we had always envisioned, and we had gained a valuable lesson in handling neighborly disputes with creativity and humor.
