The grieving mother of a 16-year-old allegedly lured to his death by a group of at least nine teenagers, including his girlfriend, has broken her silence.
Trey Dean Wright was shot dead in June after being tricked by his girlfriend, Gianna Kistenmacher, who helped to lure him to a remote area off a rural road in Florence County, South Carolina.
There a group of teens lay in wait, including 19-year-old Devan Scott Raper, who had flashed at a gun at Wright and threatened to shoot him during a previous argument over a girl.
When Wright followed his girlfriend to the isolated location on June 24, at least one of the teens present there began filming. They were recording when Raper allegedly pulled the trigger on his gun several times, killing Wright in the process.
Cop’s descended on the scene and found Wright ‘laying in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.’ Raper was then arrested on June 25. In the weeks that followed, eight other teens were also charged with allegedly helping to arrange the murder.
Hunter Kendall and Corrine Belviso, both 18, and Sydney Kearns, 17, have also been arrested and charged. The names of four other suspects who have also been charged have not been released to the public as they are minors.

As we reported yesterday, a 10th suspect is expected to turn themselves in promptly.
Sheriff TJ Joyce explained to WBTW News 13 that Trey and Raper ‘had issues with each other’, claiming their problems stemmed from a spat ‘over a female’.
“The sad thing is, you got a 16-year-old that lost his life,” he said. “You’ve got a 19-year-old who is going to be in jail the rest of his life. Over what?”
Speaking to ABC News, Trey’s devastated mother Ashley Lindsey vowed to get justice for her young son, describing him as “one in a million”.

“My baby never deserved not one thing that happened to him, period. He was one in a million. He was good for people’s souls. His happiness was so contagious.
“He always spread joy and he was one of the most kind-hearted kids you’d ever meet. I will fight for justice for my baby. If it takes every last breath in me.”
We hope and pray the family of Trey Dean Wright get justice. Rest in peace, Trey.
